As part of our Business Improvement & Change Team within L&Qs Strategy, Planning and Change Directorate, the successful candidate willbe responsible fordriving operational excellence delivered through a variety of service and business improvement projects. This will include support for the Transformation Programme which is driving new ways of working and capabilities.

They will join an agile, high-performing and values driven team at the heart of L&Q programme of changeand improvement, tasked with helping to turn L&Qs five-year Corporate Strategy,L&Q Future Shape, into a reality.

Our Corporate Strategy highlighted our priorities as well as how these will be underpinned through operational L&Q, this means delivering the best total cost solution for our customers through reliable,consistentand repeatable products and services. We want our customers to know what to expect of us, and know that we will deliver on this,time and time again.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the delivery of this, working with colleagues from across L&Q on wider ranging projects, varying from business improvement to process development, to operational/service design, to helping to embed technological change. All have a singular theme and that is to make L&Q and its services and products operationally excellent.

The successful candidate will hold a proventrack recordof business/service improvement delivery, with a structured approach that uses continuous improvement and lean techniques toidentifyand deliver change.

Placing our customers at the heart of the improvement process, with a well-developed ability to understand the impact of service changes on the customer, listening andrepresentingtheir voice to ensure that processes are revised and improved, and solutions add value.

Having the ability to work with a wide range of teams from colleagues, customer insight, data analytics and technology teams. You will be able to lead effective and positive engagement with a wider range of operational colleagues across L&Q to both successfully embed redefined services as well as embed a legacy of continuous improvement.

The successful candidate willpossess:

  • A strong ability to actively listen, negotiate, challenge and influence at all levels

  • Ability to work collaboratively, butpossessthe confidence to make clear and reasoned decisions asrequired

  • Experience and understanding of developing continuous improvement activitiesin the wider business,including implementation of its cultural mindset

  • Strong ability to self-manage goals, targets and outputs isrequiredin order todeliver effective change with pace.

  • Experience and understanding of implementing service redesign and Lean/Continuous Improvement techniques.

  • A sound grasp of project management and change management techniques and haveacquireddemonstrable experience of delivery.

  • The capability to quicklyacquirein depth knowledge of L&Qs business processes and systems.
