Role Overview

As the European Head of Events, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of event programs and ensuring exceptional experiences for their members. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving community engagement efforts and expanding impact across Europe. You will have the opportunity to develop and execute a comprehensive event strategy aligned with the company's objectives, with a focus on delivering premium experiences for CEOs, founders, and other senior executives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Event Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive event strategy aligned with the company's objectives, focusing on premium events catering to CEOs and founders.

2. Event Management: Oversee the end-to-end management of all events, from conception to execution, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional attendee experiences.

3. Content Curation: Collaborate with the Head of Editorial to curate compelling content for events, aligning topics and speakers to engage and inspire their audience.

4. Team Leadership: Lead and develop an internal events team, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.

5. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors, leveraging their expertise for event execution while maintaining quality standards.

6. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with senior stakeholders, partners, and sponsors to understand their requirements and deliver tailored event experiences that meet their objectives.

7. European Expansion: Drive expansion efforts across Europe, including the launch of events in new markets and the cultivation of a pan-European community.

8. Budget Management: Responsible for event budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and ROI optimization.

9. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for innovation and improvement in event processes, technologies, and attendee engagement strategies.

Requirements:

· 5+ years of experience in event management, preferably in a leadership role within the SaaS or Tech startup ecosystem.

· Proven track record of planning and executing premium events targeting founders, CEOs, and other senior executives.

· Proven track record of planning and executing premium events, including conferences, VIP dinners, and online gatherings.

· Strong understanding of the European events landscape, with experience working across multiple markets and cultures.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with senior executives and industry leaders.

· Team leadership experience, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

· Strategic mindset, with the ability to develop and execute event strategies aligned with business objectives.

· Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
