Elevation Recruitment Group are partnering with is a leading importer and distributor of a wide range of products, catering to various industries. With a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, they specialise in sourcing and delivering innovative products to meet their clients' diverse needs.
They are expanding their design team and seeking a dedicated Print Packaging Art Worker. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the efficient and effective packaging of printed materials, maintaining high-quality standards and meeting production deadlines.
Design Creation:
- Develop original surface patterns and designs for various products including textiles, wallpapers, ceramics, and other materials.
- Create detailed and accurate design files ready for production.
- Use a combination of hand-drawing, painting, and digital tools to produce designs.
Project Management:
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Maintain organised design files and documentation.
- Prepare and present design concepts and prototypes to internal teams and clients.
Print:
- Operate and maintain packaging machinery, including printers, laminators, and cutters
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met at all times
- Prepare materials for printing, including loading paper, adjusting settings, and performing quality checks
- Collaborate with the production team to prioritise orders and meet deadlines
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance as needed
- Manage inventory levels of packaging materials and replenish supplies as required
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment
- Maintain accurate records of production activities and materials usage
Requirements:
- Proven experience in print packaging or a related field
- Proficiency in operating packaging machinery and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
· Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
· Strong understanding of colour theory, pattern creation, and surface design techniques.
· Excellent hand-drawing and digital illustration skills.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to produce precise and accurate designs.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
