Overview: We are seeking a skilled Consultant to join our team onsite in Surrey. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Data Domain installation and upgrades, as well as corrective maintenance and upgrades for PowerScale. This role involves supporting and enhancing these critical systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Data Domain installation and upgrade processes. Experience with PowerScale corrective maintenance and upgrade procedures.
  • Support and Maintenance: Assist in day-to-day activities related to PowerScale and Data Domain support, including incident management, service request execution, and advanced feature configuration (e.g., Sync IQ, Snapshot).
  • Communication: Provide clear and concise updates to senior management regarding significant incidents. Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance operational processes and procedures.
  • Environment Stability: Regularly assess and improve the health of the infrastructure estate. Develop plans to maintain stability and mitigate risks.
  • Reporting: Generate management reports on capacity, workload progress, and identified risks/issues.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in Data Domain installation and upgrade processes.
  • Proficiency in PowerScale corrective maintenance and upgrade procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to manage incidents effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to enhance operational processes and drive improvements in environment stability.
  • Experience in capacity planning and management reporting.
