About The Role

As LiveWests Tree Officer you will manage our stock of over 40,000 trees across the southwest of England from the Isles of Scilly to Gloucester, dealing with incoming enquiries from residents, colleagues and stakeholders in line with our Tree Management Plan. You will carry out cyclical and reactive inspections, specify and schedule tree works, and manage arboricultural contractors and consultants.

You will be the arboricultural specialist within LiveWest, responsible for managing the GIS tree database; identifying, planning and delivering new tree planting projects; analysing and responding to subsidence claims and subsidence issues affecting our own properties; and working with our Development Team on new build projects. You will be working with our customers on a daily basis, so customer service must be at the heart of everything you do.

This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis. The post is offered on a hybrid working basis with an office base at Exeter, Camborne or Weston-super-Mare.

You will be responsible for line management of the tree service coordinator based in our Camborne office.

About The Candidate

To be considered for the role of Tree Officer, you will be / have:
  • Experience of managing a large tree population for a housing provider, Local Authority or other large landowner.
  • Extensive experience of tree surveying and using digital tools.
  • NQF Level 4 qualification or higher in arboriculture.
  • LANTRA Professional Tree Inspector certificate.
  • Quantified Tree Risk Assessment licence.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Contractor management experience.
