The Independent Nuclear Oversight (INO) Group, within the Assurance Directorate, provides compelling advice and regulatory interface on nuclear safety, radiological safety, radioactive waste management and assurance of compliance with legal and contractual requirements.

Conduct Independent Peer Review, in accordance with established procedures, of safety documents and policy, methodology, strategy and guidance documents generated under arrangements to satisfy the BMS, Nuclear Site Licence and MoD Authorisation.
As required, and on behalf of the Independent Peer Review Manager (IPRM), present the findings of Peer Review to the members of the Nuclear Safety Committee.
Assist in formulating IPR strategy and policy to address emergent issues.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with typically 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.

Significant experience in the conduct of safety analysis, ideally in a through life support environment, including Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), fault tree analysis etc. Experience in the development, management and analysis of fault schedules and the derivation of safety functional requirements
Experience of authoring safety case claims, arguments and evidence to demonstrate how risks are being managed and controlled
Degree in an appropriate Scientific or Engineering discipline
NUC0793 Nuclear Plant Foundation Course Module 1 (or equivalent) (Babcock are happy to put you through this)
NUC0794 Nuclear Fundamentals (Foundation) Course Module 2 (or equivalent) (Babcock are happy to put you through this)
