Contributing to the major UK infrastructure project, Framatome has signed in 2016 multibillionGBP contract to supply core nuclear components to Hinkley Point C project. The Contract and Commercial Managerwill join a multi-cultural team in charge of guiding the organization to accurately execute contractual duties and develop commercial activities to fulfill the needs from our client NNB.
The Contract and Commercial Managerwill need to perform in-depth analysis of contractual duties and ensure compliance. Contracts are based on FIDIC yellow book and NEC principles. They will be also in charge to prepare high valuecommercial proposals with highly technical content like nuclear core mechanical components or safety instrumentation and control.
The Contract and Commercial Managerneeds to develop a fully transverse approach within Framatome.They will liaise with operational teams like engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, project direction and also with support functions like legal advisors, finance, cost control.
Job Description
- Develop and sustain Commercial development.
- Clarify Variation Requests (VAR) with the Client and with Framatome internal governance Variation Proposals (VP).
- Capture client needs and identify negotiation leverages with agile win win approach.
- Build the offer with technical teams, compiling the costings and final dossier.
- Follow internal Framatome governance to reach a consensus on the offered price, terms and conditions and negotiation mandate.
- Handle negotiation with the Client.
- Ensure Contractual compliance and fulfillment of Framatome duties:
- Manage the process of Early Warnings (EWN) and Risk Reduction Meetings (RRM)
- Perform in-depth analysis of contractual requirements to advise organization about contractual risk and opportunities. (Contract Clarification Sheet)
- Draft or support the drafting of contractual communications toward Clients or any other stakeholders
- Definition and follow-up of contractual requirements through compliance matrix and by use of Contract management tools.
- Experience in large infrastructure projects, such as for Oil & Gas, transport, automotive, energy sectors in engineering, supply chain, or contract & commercial management roles.
- Experience in complex negotiation and high value contract management involving NEC or FIDIC processes.
- Language skills: High level of English (essential), French (desirable)Computer literate: good experience with standard Microsoft package
- Bachelor's degree is mandatory, Master's degree is desirableLegal, Engineering or Business School Degree is also desirable
