WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Marketing Senior Manager will serve as a member of BCG’s Global Technology, Media and Telco (TMT) Practice Area Marketing team. The Senior Manager will work closely with the TMT Global Marketing Partner, and report to the TMT Marketing Director.

As a Senior Marketing Manager of BCG’s TMT practice area, you will collaborate with practice area global leadership and BCG’s global marketing function to devise, direct and execute complex marketing and communication strategies both internally and externally.

TMT’s Marketing Senior Manager will act as a thought partner to the global TMT Marketing Partner and Director, bringing a robust point of view to strategic planning, event design and content initiatives while delivering against multi-channel specific ROMI KPIs. You will share responsibility across all three sectors and marketing channels including publications and thought leadership, media partnerships, events, social and traditional media.

The TMT Marketing Senior Manager will bring proven experience to further enhance TMT’s global marketing plan, supporting the refinement of our global strategy, use of new channels and identifying ways to elevate our key internal TMT thought leaders , exploring new external partnerships and enhancing our content lifecycle management to boost impact and ROMI.

Additional key focus areas include the following:

Event Strategy and Execution

  • Commercial Strategy and Brand Building: Develop and implement commercial strategies across our three global sectors to enhance brand visibility and drive revenue growth through event marketing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency and alignment with overall business objectives.

  • Audience Development: Identify target audiences and create targeted marketing campaigns to increase event attendance and engagement. Leverage CRM and email distribution platform to build campaign lists and execute communications strategy.

  • Agenda Creation: Partner with global TMT leadership to design and develop compelling event agendas that align with business goals and resonate with the target audience. Coordinate with speakers, sponsors, and stakeholders to curate high-quality content that drives attendee value and engagement.

  • Onsite Execution: With the support of a multi-disciplinary team you will oversee all aspects of onsite event execution, ensuring seamless operations and an exceptional attendee experience. Manage event logistics, coordinate with vendors, and troubleshoot issues in real-time to deliver successful events.


Global Thought Leadership Strategy and Editorial Oversight

  • Content Pipeline Strategy: Working with sector leadership, you will develop and execute a cohesive content strategy aligned with overall business and marketing objectives

  • Content Development: Co-lead the management of the publication pipeline and work closely with stakeholders on identifying new IP and the formats and channels to bring it to market while partnering with editorial resources for various channels, including web, social media, email etc.

  • Social Media Activation: Working with more junior team members, the Senior Manager will support social media campaigns through the amplification of TMT content across our global external channels. The Senior Manager will measure and communicate content performance using various analytics tools and make recommendations for continuous improvement to sector and practice area leadership.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • The Senior Marketing Manager will represent the TMT practice in various firmwide initiatives and campaigns and effectively collaborate with internal and external partners to bring the best of TMT to market.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders such as author teams and sector managers to gain insights on business needs and translate them into marketing initiatives


YOU'RE GOOD AT

Successful candidates will feel comfortable operating on a global team with multiple stakeholders and a variety of priorities, have strong project management skills, the aptitude to see and hold the big picture, yet also manage the details. Comfort with ambiguity, evolving priorities and eagerness to lean in to support team/projects when needed, are also pre-requisites.

In particular, successful candidates will show the following abilities:

  • Strong teaming with our Marketing Leaders and wider global Leadership Team to frame, articulate and win support for our Marketing strategy

  • Passionate about our content with a desire to increase impact and ROI from our IP efforts

  • Ability to marry analytics, insights and intuition to develop, pilot and scale innovative Marketing propositions that take our agenda to the next level of impact

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience

  • Master's degree preferred

  • Leading teams or defined work area with varied level of complexity; coaching others

  • Ability to independently resolve diverse problems and establish clear guidelines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven analytical capabilities

  • Highly professional, service oriented, pro-active and flexible attitude
