A 2 branch Independent Pharmacy owner is seeking a new Pharmacist Manager, must be GPHC Registered with a minimum of 3 years experience as they have a pre registration student from July 2024.

This Rebourn branch is currently working at an average of 8,000 items per month doing Pharmacy First and Travel Vaccination Services.

Key Duties

Leadership and Management: As a manager, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy is crucial. This involves managing staff, delegating tasks, and ensuring efficient workflow. It also includes handling administrative duties such as scheduling, performance evaluations, and staff training.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that the pharmacy operates in compliance with all relevant regulations and laws is essential. This includes maintaining proper documentation, adhering to medication storage and handling protocols, and staying up-to-date with changes in regulations.
Inventory Management: Managing inventory levels, ordering medications and supplies, and overseeing stock rotation are important aspects of the role. This helps ensure that the pharmacy has an adequate supply of medications while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service is a priority. This involves addressing customer inquiries and concerns, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring that customers receive accurate information about their medications.
Medication Therapy Management: Pharmacists play a crucial role in medication therapy management, including counseling patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions with other medications. The pharmacist manager may also develop protocols and guidelines for medication management within the pharmacy.
Quality Assurance: Implementing quality assurance measures to maintain the highest standards of care and safety is essential. This includes conducting regular inspections, monitoring for medication errors, and implementing protocols to prevent adverse events.
Financial Management: Managing the financial aspects of the pharmacy, including budgeting, billing, and reimbursement, is often part of the pharmacist manager's responsibilities. This may involve working with insurance companies, processing claims, and optimizing revenue streams.
Continuing Education and Professional Development: Staying current with developments in the field of pharmacy through continuing education and professional development is important for pharmacist managers. This ensures that they remain knowledgeable about new medications, treatments, and regulations.
Community Engagement and Outreach: Building relationships within the community and participating in outreach programs can help enhance the pharmacy's reputation and visibility. This may involve collaborating with healthcare providers, participating in health fairs, or offering educational seminars.
Overall, the pharmacist manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, and professionalism.

Package and Benefits

Monday to Friday working from June hours will be 09:00- 18:30
Salary of £60,000 per annum
Pension
Annual leave Standard plus bank holidays
Split on vaccination services profit

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

Must have 3 years experience on the GPHC
Must be GPHC registered
Must be a keen and motivated Pharmacist
