Full-Time Locum -

Location - London

Established healthcare trust is seeking a dedicated professional with a Pg Cert in Mammography. The ideal candidate will have experience in mobile scanning units and breast screening radiography.

Key Qualifications:

  • HCPC Registration
  • Pg Cert in Breast Imaging (Mammography)
  • BSc in Radiography*

Responsibilities include performing mammography procedures, maintaining patient safety, operating mobile units, and participating in quality assurance. The role involves performing mammograms on individuals who are part of the national breast screening programme1. In addition to performing mammograms, you will prepare individuals, equipment and work environments for mammograms to detect cancers.

You will work in a multi-disciplinary team within a hospital or in a community setting (e.g. mobile breast screening units, medical centers), performing routine mammography for clients attending screening, and individuals with symptoms of breast disease. You will have a good understanding of breast anatomy, physiology and pathology, including clinical signs and symptoms of breast cancer, and be able to apply knowledge of ionising radiation regulations.
