Job Title: Assistant Practitioner - Mammographer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Assistant Practitioner - Mammographer to join our forward-thinking breast care team at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mammography services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake mammographic examinations on mobile breast screening vans under remote radiographic supervision.
  • Perform mammographic examinations on symptomatic patients.
  • Undertake reception and administration duties, and image and data transfer.
  • Participate in Breast Screening Quality Assurance and audit.
  • Provide care for women who are returning to the assessment clinic.
  • Lead and assist other members of the mammography team in conducting departmental audits.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also need to be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
