Job title: Principal Operations Engineer (LOLER Appointed Person)

What you’ll be doing:



  • Liaising with internal & external stakeholders
  • Design, planning (inc method statement) and risk assessment of lifting operations
  • Working with legislation such as LOLER PUWER
  • Coaching and mentor to lifting personnel
  • Peer review of complex lift plans
  • Ensuring a safe system of work is in place for lifting operations

Your skills and experiences:


Essential:



  • Demonstrable 5 years+ experience in planning lifting operations
  • CPCS A61 Blue card LOLER Appointed Person
  • Experience in rigging/fleeting of loads
  • Able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, internal & external
  • IT Skills including proficiency in AutoCAD

Desirable:



  • ECITB Appointed Person Moving Loads (TAP01)
  • Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations – Planning Lifts
  • Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations – Supervising Lifts
  • CPCS A62 Blue card Crane /Lift Supervisor

The Operations Team:


Within this role there will be the opportunity to exercise existing skills whilst working within an attractive environment that requires high standards on a uniquely complex product governed under Nuclear license. There are opportunities to progress, Discipline Leadership, Integrated works team manager. We offer relocation support across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
