On behalf of our client, an established Aerospace Tier 1 Manufacturer, we’re seeking a meticulous Production Planner to join their growing team in Farnborough. Reporting directly to the Systems & Planning Manager, this role will be responsible for the daily & weekly planning within the Farnborough facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and level load a rolling 6-week Production Plan.
  • Job profiling - Accurate management of Manufacturing orders through all levels of the Bill of Material (BOM).
  • Close liaison with the Demand team to ensure Sales Order ‘ship by dates’ are updated & in line with the jobs.
  • Monitor launch & completion adherence.
  • Working with the Operations team, to maximise Schedule Adherence against available hours.
  • Following the SIOP planning cycle.
  • Managing MRP generated exception messages in Epicor.
  • Working with the Supply Chain team to ensure material shortages are clearly identified & worked together to resolve to prevent delays to customer.
  • Working with the Material Control in the event of a critical supply shortage / build stop risk.
  • Ensuring that no demand is executed outside of the Production Plan.
  • Escalation of perceived risk and actual non-conformities in real time.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated working skill, knowledge and experience of planning management and quality control principles.
  • Strong IT System use including excel and word skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Epicor system.
  • Experience of managing internal communications working cross functionally to deliver results. Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels within the business.
  • Good communicator both written and verbal.
  • Have the ability to continuously improve and remain calm under pressure.
