Role Profile

Reports to:        Head of IT

Location:            Glasgow, office based

Salary:                 Dependent on experience

Hours:                  42.5 hours per week (8.30am to 5.30pm)

Role Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity at our Head Office for a full time Systems Administrator to join our ever expanding, fast paced organisation.

The successful person will be a key member of the Infrastructure Team, overseeing the maintenance, security and efficiency of or Azure infrastructure and business operations. 

 

What does a typical day sound like?

  • You will deploy, configure, optimise and maintain cloud components, including servers, storage, software and networking resources
  • You will monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure downtime is minimised
  • You will perform vulnerability assessments and penetration tests
  • You will implement software and security updates, and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • You will support staff on system usage, security protocols and best practices

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role
  • Strong technical and information security skills
  • Proficiency in administration of cloud computing technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills
  • Degree/Qualification in Computer Science, IT, or related field
