Salary: Competitive with uncapped OTE 

What We’re Looking For 

We are seeking a Director of Sales with significant experience in Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) or Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) packaging sales and in-depth knowledge of bespoke design, tooling, thermoforming and injection moulding. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in sales leadership and a well-established and trusted network of packaging industry contacts, especially in Home Appliances, White Goods, and Fish Box Sectors.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Achieve repeat and ad-hoc sales to meet company sales targets. 
  • Drive significant inbound lead conversions and outbound sales. 
  • Develop, communicate, maintain, and implement the sales strategy for new business opportunities. 
  • Oversee CRM and Monday.com metrics to ensure the closure of current and future pipeline through the sales cycle in accountable territories. 
  • Conduct in-depth research and deliver new business in relevant territories. 
  • Negotiate prices for new business, with collaboration and sign-off from the CEO and Group Financial Controller. 
  • Write and consistently update the company sales presentation deck and its shorter versions. 
  • Analyse and improve current sales goals and performance to grow the company’s customer base. 
  • Demonstrate excellence in outbound sales and closing. 
  • Manage and maintain impeccable relationships with clients. 

 

 Key Results/Objectives 

  • Conversion of sales pipeline as a percentage of enquiries, in line with the company scorecard. 
  • Achieve company sales targets in accountable territories. 
  • Achieve repeat sales in line with the company scorecard. 
  • Meet customer complaint targets as per the company scorecard. 
  • Excellence in outbound sales and managing inbound and outbound conversion. 
  • Maintain and improve customer satisfaction and loyalty scores. 

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Educated to degree level, preferably in Engineering; MSc and/or MBA desirable. 
  • At least 10 years of experience in sales leadership, specifically in bespoke polystyrene sales. 
  • Knowledge of bespoke design process, CAD, tooling, thermoforming and injection moulding. 
  • Proven track record of closing sales and securing repeat contract orders. 
  • Proven experience in a Director of Sales role. 
  • Excellent customer service skills at all levels. 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Outstanding persuasion, presentation, and negotiation skills. 
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate people. 
  • Management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects and achieve sales quotas. 
  • Knowledge of competitor research and market trend analysis. 
  • Ability to convey the company’s value proposition to customers and other key stakeholders. 
  • IT skills, including the use of advanced spreadsheets, CRM, and project management tools. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and board-level presentation skills.
