About the role

We are seeking a highly organized Warehouse Specialist to oversee our 3PL partnership, focusing on managing inbound goods, ensuring they match purchase orders (POs), and flagging discrepancies. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Inbound Goods Management:

  • Oversee the daily receipt of goods, ensuring they accurately match purchase orders.
  • Address any discrepancies promptly by coordinating with suppliers and the 3PL provider.
  • Implement and maintain effective procedures for receiving goods to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify inventory accuracy and address any inconsistencies.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all 3PL-related inquiries and issues.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and the 3PL provider to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of warehouse operations and any key issues.

Outbound Orders Management:

  • Supervise the fulfillment of outbound orders to ensure accurate and timely dispatch.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped according to customer requirements.
  • Monitor order processing times and implement improvements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.

SLA Compliance:

  • Monitor adherence to SLAs for booking in goods and order fulfillment.
  • Implement corrective actions and process improvements when SLAs are not met.

Cost Management:

  • Analyze costs associated with damaged goods and develop strategies to minimize these expenses.
  • Track and report on cost-saving initiatives and their impact on overall operations.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure cost-effective practices and budget adherence.

Supply Chain Management:

  • Ensure the availability of samples, boxes, tape, and other packaging materials to meet order fulfillment requirements.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of packaging materials.

Forecasting and Planning:

  • Provide quarterly forecasts and peak period projections to the 3PL provider to ensure they are prepared for demand fluctuations.
  • Collaborate with reordering and marketing teams to anticipate spikes in demand and plan inventory accordingly.
  • Use data analytics to improve forecasting accuracy and inventory planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or warehouse operations (preferred not necessary)
  • Experience working with a 3PL provider.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
