The role will be based within an educational setting, where you will be responsible for educating the business on all aspects of Facilities Management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Educate and Advise: Provide expert guidance on Facilities Management to key stakeholders within the educational institution, ensuring the business understands industry best practices.
  • Workshops: Develop and conduct engaging workshops to train staff on TFM strategies, operational improvements, and compliance in FM.
  • Hard Services Focus: Leverage your hard services expertise to offer tailored advice on areas such as building maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other core infrastructure services.
  • Model Negotiation: Collaborate with internal and external teams to review and negotiate FM models and frameworks, ensuring they align with the needs of the institution and meet financial and operational targets.
  • Operational Support: Offer support in the management of daily FM operations, from service delivery to contractor management, providing insight into efficiency improvements and risk mitigation.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement systems to track FM service performance, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with institutional goals.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in TFM (Total Facilities Management): A strong background in managing both hard and soft FM services, with an emphasis on hard services.
  • Educational Setting Experience: Prior experience working in an educational environment will be highly advantageous.
  • Workshops and Training Delivery: Ability to create and lead workshops to upskill staff in FM practices.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills for FM model development, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders and secure favourable outcomes.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of hard services, including HVAC, M&E systems, building maintenance, and health and safety compliance.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the business.
