Location: London

Rate: £660 per day

We are looking for an experienced Data Assurance Lead to join a public sector organisation’s Data Modelling and Engineering team. This team builds and maintains data pipelines from operational services to the organisation’s Analytical Platform.

As a Data Assurance Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring that these data pipelines and dimensional models are of the highest quality, supporting downstream users like analysts, performance teams, and data scientists. Your work will help streamline processes and improve data quality in a complex and evolving environment.

With new microservices being developed to replace legacy databases, the complexity of data pipelines is increasing, and your expertise is needed to maintain data integrity across these critical systems.

We are looking for a highly collaborative individual with strong skills in testing and assurance to lead this effort.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in building automated tests and data quality metrics based on industry best practices
  • Proven experience working with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Data Architects to develop robust testing and quality assurance processes for complex data pipelines
  • Experience in gathering requirements from stakeholders and responding to data quality and assurance needs
  • Proficient in writing testing scripts in dbt
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Strong Python programming skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS
  • Experience working with Analytics Engineers on the production of dimensional models
