Position Summary:

As the Assistant General Manager you will play a critical role in the success of our restaurant by working closely with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and maintain a fun and engaging atmosphere. You will lead a team of enthusiastic staff, ensuring that every aspect of the restaurant operates smoothly while keeping the energy high and the vibe lively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
    • Assist the GM in managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all areas.
    • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage costs to ensure profitability.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the venue.
  • Guest Experience:
    • Ensure that every guest leaves with a memorable experience by maintaining high standards of service and hospitality.
    • Address and resolve guest complaints and feedback promptly and professionally.
    • Work closely with the events team to coordinate and execute special events.
  • Staff Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, motivate, and train a team of servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff, fostering a positive and energetic work environment.
    • Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours and events.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities for the team.
  • Financial Management:
    • Assist in managing the restaurants financial performance by analysing key metrics, controlling costs, and optimising revenue.
    • Work with the GM to develop and implement strategies to drive sales and profitability.
    • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Marketing & Community Engagement:
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the restaurant, events, and special offers through various channels.
    • Engage with the local community and build partnerships to enhance the restaurants visibility and reputation.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to keep the restaurant ahead of the curve.

Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a management role within a high-energy restaurant, bar, or entertainment venue.
    • Proven track record of managing operations in a fast-paced, vibrant environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for engaging both guests and staff.
    • Solid understanding of financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimisation.
    • Creative mindset with a passion for hospitality, entertainment, and creating memorable experiences.
  • Personality:
