Currently, we are on the lookout for a skilled and enthusiastic IT Support Analyst to become part of our highly competent technical team. The role will start with a 8 week contract with a view to extend further once you've established yourself. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting the continuous expansion of one of our key departments in Reading. The position, which requires on-site presence for 3 to 4 days a week, is conveniently located next to superb public transport connections. The role involves providing both virtual and in-person assistance to our internal clients, addressing 1st and 2nd line IT support queries.

Your new role
You will have the autonomy to support a diverse user base, providing technical support and administration to a range of modern IT systems. You will be managing the support requests from various departments via the phone and onsite, so you will be exposed to a hands-on infrastructure role. You will be responsible for planning and organising your day and prioritising calls and work plans to ensure the urgent requests are met in a timely and efficient manner. You will be self-managed and be responsible for supporting clients virtually, fixing varying IT issues both small and complex.

What you'll need to succeed
Your background in first and second line support, which includes basic IT assistance such as software and application troubleshooting, telephony problem resolution, and login issue fixes, gained in a diverse and ever-changing environment, will be the key to your success. Your alignment with ITIL principles and your continuous improvement mindset will greatly benefit you in your role as you take on technical projects. Possessing strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, is crucial.
