Assistant Warehouse Manager 

We are working with a drink’s wholesaler, looking to hire an Assistant Warehouse Manager at their Holywell site The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain environments, with existing supervisory experience. 

You will work alongside the Warehouse Manager, deputising a team consisting of Operatives and Drivers. This would be the ideal role for a Team Leader/Supervisor, looking to take the next step in their career, or an experienced AWM to further develop their career.
 
Salary: £30,000 Location: Greenfield Business Park, CH8Hours: 08:00-18:00, working 4 days per week - 40 hours. (Ideal rota would be a 4 on, 3 off pattern, however this can be discussed). The company operates 7 days a week, so you must be flexible to work weekends.  

Duties Include:
  • Coordinate with transport providers to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Deputise in the Warehouse Manager's absence and as cover.
  • Cooperate with senior management and the operational team to aid the day to day running of the warehouse.
  • Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and optimize routes
  • Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with all warehouse regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve business processes and systems
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
  • Operate forklifts or other equipment as needed

The Candidate:
  • Experience in a role of Supervisory capacity or equivalent 
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics principles
  • Familiarity with TMS and WMS
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions
  • Knowledge of business processes related to warehousing and distribution
