Job Description
As a Service Engineer, you will play a key role in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial communication networks across multiple protocols, including PROFIBUS, PROFINET, ASi, and CAN. You will also provide on-site technical training, helping customers enhance their network performance and reliability.
This role is based in UK, and reports to the International sales manager and Area manager.
Your responsibilities
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting – Provide expert diagnostics and hands-on support for industrial networks (PROFIBUS, PROFINET, ASi, CAN, etc.).
- On-Site Training & Customer Support – Deliver tailored technical training sessions, helping customers optimize their automation systems.
- Network Maintenance & Optimization – Conduct preventative maintenance and ensure efficient operation of communication networks.
- Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing – Work closely with internal teams and document solutions to enhance customer support.
- Customer Relationship Management – Build strong relationships with end-users, OEMs, and system integrators to drive customer satisfaction.
Role Requirements :
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the automation industry
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial communication protocols (PROFIBUS, PROFINET, ASi, CAN, etc.)
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience in electrical and networked systems
- Ability to provide on-site technical training and support
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- A valid UK driver's license (travel to customer sites required)
Added advantage if you have skills on:
- Knowledge of Siemens controllers
- Experience with network diagnostics tools
- Experience in products trainings
