An Accounts Receivable Clerk plays a vital role in managing financial transactions related to customer payments and ensuring the accuracy of accounts receivable data. If you're interested in this position, here are the key responsibilities and requirements:Responsibilities:

  1. Processing Transactions:
    • Verify, classify, compute, post, and record accounts receivables' data.
    • Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.
  2. Reconciliation and Accuracy:
    • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
    • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in billing.
  3. Client Communication:
    • Contact clients to facilitate payment of invoices due.
    • Send bill reminders when necessary.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Experience: Proven working experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or similar role.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
  • Data Management: Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software (such as JDE or other full-scale ER software).
  • Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
