Hays has partnered with prestigious and established retail service industry based in the beautiful Madley located near Hereford. This nationally and internationally renowned company is looking for an organised account's assistant with can do attitude to joinfriendly finance team following a retirement in the team.
Main responsibilities include
You will be working in a small team and reporting to the Financial Controller you will ensure that all invoices coming into the company are processed accurately and in a timely fashion. The role will include processing of weekly and monthly payment runs.
- Purchase ledger processing - approximately 4,500 invoices per annum
- Obtain authorisation for invoices received
- Liaise with different departments throughout the business
- Code the charges to the correct nominal code, ensuring that the VAT is properly analysed
- Reconcile supplier statements, ensuring all ledger balances are correct and verified
- Chase for missing invoices / credit notes
- Process payments in a timely manner Flag any processing issues
- Allocate payments

What you'll need to succeed
- A 'can-do' attitude and desire to learn more about the Business
- A high level of integrity
- Be organised, structured and able to prioritize your own workload and deliver in a timely manner.
- Good computer skills (MS Office required, training will be given on we use in house software and cloud-based Oracle financials)
