About the role
As a Data Centre Engineer at Node4, you’ll play a critical role in the management, maintenance, and support of our data center operations. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the integrity, performance, and reliability of our data center infrastructure. This is a hands-on role, and you’ll work alongside a dedicated team to maintain high standards of service, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensuring a secure, efficient, and reliable environment for our customers.
What will you bring?
- Good experience working in a Data Centre and Critical Infrastructure environment (knowledge of expected standards and procedures)
- Someone who takes pride in their work and has a desire to deliver excellent customer service
- Certified Data Centre Technician (CDCT) qualification or equivalent
- Competent in Data Centre cabling standards and best practices
- Experience of maintaining the day-to-day operational state of the Data Centres (daily checks/reports and escalation of issues as deemed necessary)
- Experience of working with ITSM tools for IMAC requests, managing SLA’s and communication to internal teams and external clients.
- Experience of maintaining support documentation and asset information ensuring it is up to date and fit for purpose.
- Experience of maintaining Data Centre reporting and monitoring tools
- ITIL Qualified or experience of working in an ITIL organisation
- Ability to be part of an on-call rota
- Full UK driving licence and own car
- Resides within 45 minutes of Data Centre site (WF6)
