As the industry continues to grow within Europe, particularly as a result of widespread investment, one of our clients is seeking a Lead Engineer to join the team in Newport. This would suit someone with an excellent academic background and high-level experience in servicing capital equipment.


Key responsibilities:


  • Act as the on-site point of contact for both the customer and team.
  • Provide excellent customer service through navigating customer issues, coordinating enquiries and escalating customer requests to the appropriate team/manager.
  • Perform installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on company equipment.
  • Drive day-to-day activities through coordinating responses to various tasks.
  • Occasional but limited travel for training/customer requirements.


Key qualifications:


  • Degree in a technical field, eg electronics, physics or chemistry.
  • Several years of experience in servicing capital equipment (semiconductor industry is preferable).
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in leading a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an enthusiastic personality.
  • Right to work in the UK.
