Our client in Fakenham are looking for a Design Engineer with a mechanical background to join their close knit team. This is a great opportunity to join a forward thinking business with exciting career progression opportunities.As a Design Engineer, you will need the following:2 years' experience as a Design EngineerMechanical Engineering backgroundA sound understanding of mechanical engineering, with good knowledge of machined parts, fabricated assembliesThe ability to quickly and effectively create part and assembly drawings in accordance with BS8888 for internal and externalThe ability to prioritise workloadExcellent working knowledge of Solidworks 3D CAD or similarAble to produce effective, detailed manufacturing information on timeWorking knowledge of Machinery Standards and relevant legislationAble to work as part of a small teamExcellent communication skillsAs a Design Engineer, your duties will include:Creation of detailed drawings of custom partsSource supplier quotes for custom made parts, within timescale and budgetProcurement of custom made and project specific parts, within timescale and budgetCreation of BOMs for special productsCreation of assembly drawings / work instructions for manufactureBenefits:Salary is negotiable20 Days Annual Holiday + Bank Holidays (increasing with time served)Flexible working arrangementsFriendly small team environmentExcellent opportunities for developmentInclusion in company bonus scheme
