Design Engineer

As a Design Engineer, you will need the following:
2 years' experience as a Design EngineernMechanical Engineering backgroundnA sound understanding of mechanical engineering, with good knowledge of machined parts, fabricated assembliesnThe ability to quickly and effectively create part and assembly drawings in accordance with BS8888 for internal and externalnThe ability to prioritise workloadnExcellent working knowledge of Solidworks 3D CAD or similarnAble to produce effective, detailed manufacturing information on timenWorking knowledge of Machinery Standards and relevant legislationnAble to work as part of a small teamnExcellent communication skills
As a Design Engineer, your duties will include:
Creation of detailed drawings of custom partsnSource supplier quotes for custom-made parts, within the timescale and budgetnProcurement of custom-made and project-specific parts, within timescale and budgetnCreation of BOMs for special productsnCreation of assembly drawings/work instructions for manufacture
