Time Appointments are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading law firm based in Colchester who are currently seeking to appoint a professional Technical Support Assistant to join their growing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective and efficient support to the Wills, Trusts and Probate department by supporting the team with a varied caseload and bridging the gap between fee earning, secretarial and administration duties.

Key Duties & Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting legal research
  • Taking telephone calls
  • Liaising with clients and arranging Wills signings, and dealing with the execution of Wills
  • Assisting in the production of documents and sending out as appropriate
  • Liaising with third parties e.g. probate registry, estate agents etc as appropriate
  • Assisting with administrative tasks and drafting of documents in Probate, Office of Public Guardian and Trust matters.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous legal experience would be preferred, however candidates with professional administrative experience and a genuine desire to work within the legal industry will also be considered
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Professional, with a positive, friendly and helpful approach
  • Strong attention to details and accuracy
  • Proficient IT Literacy, including the use of Microsoft applications
