Graduate Quantity Surveyor Newry £25k+ Due to our clients securing large contracts for the next 5 years, they are seeking to add a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to the team. They specialise in the Water and Wastewater Treatment Industry and focus on M&E. This position is full-time permanent, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Day to day: Prepare technical proposals and bids in accordance with Sales and Engineering specifications. Assist with all costs relating to existing and prospective Mechanical & Electrical Projects, from initial calculations to final figures. Work closely with commercial, project and finance departments and in accordance with company standards, procedures, and design protocol. Help to minimise the cost of projects and enhance value for money, whilst achieving company standards and quality ensuring all regulations are met. Assist preparing initial estimates and tracking any variations to the contract that may affect costs. Support finance department as and when required. Experience & Qualifications: Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. Good working knowledge of NEC forms of contract. Ability to interpret and make calculations based on engineering drawings and designs. Commercial awareness and decision-making skills.
