IT & Digital Procurement Manager

Role Purpose:

To manage the procurement of IT and digital services, ensuring cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and alignment with the organisation's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of IT and digital spend, executing sourcing strategies across various technology domains.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for IT hardware, software, licenses, telecommunications, and digital services.
  • Lead the end-to-end procurement process, including Tenders, RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements with vendors to secure optimal terms and conditions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify IT and digital requirements, aligning procurement activities with business needs.
  • Implement and maintain a robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process to foster strategic partnerships and drive innovation.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Lead cost management initiatives to identify areas for optimization and drive savings in external IT and digital expenditure.
  • Work closely with the IT and Digital teams to ensure procurement activities support the society's digital transformation goals.
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with IT and digital procurement, including cybersecurity and data protection considerations.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Business, IT, or a related field; MCIPS/CIPS qualification advantageous.
  • Experienced in IT and digital procurement.
  • Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure, software licensing models, and digital services.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Proven track record in delivering cost savings and process improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
