Role Summary:

Commercial Business Operations Analyst will be responsible for improving the efficiency of business operations through data analysis and Forecasting. Duties include collecting and analysing sales figures and delivering analysis reports to management and the wider business. This position requires a blend of technical and analytical skills to ensure the organization operates efficiently and effectively, leveraging data to make informed decisions.

Key skills:

Understanding of Finance, familiarity with financial terms and month end reconciliation

  • Allocation/Fairshare process management

  • Good understanding of Power BI proficiency including the below is an advantage:
  1. Power Query (both Excel (with Power Pivot) & Power BI versions)
  2. Power BI Online Data Flows
  3. Ability to understand Power BI and Power BI refresh error messages and solve them.

Key responsibilities: (In no particular order)

Pricing – A price set up, discounts (discounts portion have largely been migrated to Robin’s team now)

  • Owning pricing set up.
  • raising pricing forms and discounts on the system – doing careful analysis to ensure prices are raised accurately in SAP and are extended to the right markets working with Brand teams and HDM teams,
  • highlighting and actioning any fixes required on discrepancies and managing any pricing updates.
  • Key contact for when Customer Expected Price is different from SAP price – these needs resolving fast as holds up orders, most cases KAM needs to reach out to customer to send correct price but sometimes it may be a set up issue which requires action from me.

Monthly Sales Estimate

  • Responsible for rolling up the monthly forecast for WOTC EMEA and ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Working with the sales teams to submit they’re by channel by customer forecasts via our planning tool logility in a timely manner that adheres to the business’ planning timelines,
  • Collating, maintaining (update pricing/discounts, setup new customers, add new skus etc), conducting monthly actualization, review revenue phasing (working with Ops manager and Brand Managers), review/investigate large variances versus previous submission.
  • Build and prepare yearly initial Budget by sku and by customer Templates and or Setup our Planning tool (Logility) for next year forecasting needs.
  • Create and maintain reports using Power BI where we can analyze current performance against Budget and previous submissions. (usually, a key identifier of any errors in submission)


Financial forecast

Working with Brand managers and the Finance team, own the production of our monthly financial forecast which gets communicated to the wider global business.


Revenue Call

  • Active participant in the twice weekly revenue call, where myself and the members of the ops teamwork through Orders/shipments on the system to provide a call on the revenue for the month.
  • Be able to update and maintain this report and continuously work to improve its accuracy.

Allocations

  • Manage the allocation process for our Hobby/ DTR customers, where we have been oversubscribed for a product – I manage the fair distribution of product available using an allocation model and thorough order Analysis. I maximize sales by highlighting where channel trades can exist withing Hobby/DTR to support this process and minimize the need to short a customer’s order.
  • Design efficient operational processes to allocate fairly stock that has been oversubscribed by customers.

Maintain and update co-efficients regularly ensuring that fair share processes are up to date.

Generating Early sales caps by customer by channel for Major releases working with the Sales team,

Management of Master Data lists

Manage various master data lists such as product list and Customer lists.

Sales Analysis Reporting

  • Own, maintain and update a weekly snapshot report of the revenue and stock holding of the business.
