Commercial Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a Commercial Analyst to join our team at APCOA Parking. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve our business objectives by conducting in-depth analysis of data, assessing pricing and revenue growth strategies, creating solutions, and planning for the future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting, to support strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitor performance, and customer behaviour to identify opportunities for growth and optimisation.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making, including forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and assess the performance of new and existing products/services, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models for various projects and initiatives.
  • Generate and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, highlighting key performance indicators and trends in revenue and costs.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management and clients based on data-driven analysis and market intelligence.
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against business objectives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Retrieve and transform data from multiple sources so that it is useful, accurate, and fit for use in scalable reporting solutions.
  • Develop and maintain management reporting, analytics, and business intelligence, promoting the use of automation and self-service solutions.
Requirements
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products, with advanced Excel experience. Knowledge of SQL/MySQL and Microsoft Power BI is a plus.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, market research, or business intelligence, preferably in a commercial or strategic role.
  • Strong analytical skills, translating complex data into meaningful insights for all stakeholders.
  • Excellent, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
