Supervising Social Worker - Kinship Team

Gateshead Council are currently on the search for a social worker to join their Kinship Team on a temporary basis. The post will be a minimum of 3 months and is a full time position. Their Kinship Team plays a crucial role in this mission by supporting kinship carers and facilitating positive outcomes for children in kinship care.
Responsibilities
Provide guidance, support, and supervision to kinship carers to ensure the well-being and stability of children in their care
Conduct Connected Persons Assessments and Regulation 24 assessments, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Perform regular reviews of foster carers, assessing their capabilities and offering necessary training and development opportunities
Engage in support services, including training sessions, support groups, and other activities designed to enhance the skills and resilience of kinship carers
Work closely with other team members, external agencies, and stakeholders to provide holistic support to children and families
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, prepare reports, and contribute to case planning and reviews
Requirements
A degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England
