Gym Instructor

Job Description:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Supervise Daily Operations**: Support and assist the day-to-day operations of the gym/centre ensuring a smooth and efficient environment for both staff and members.
- **Member Engagement**: Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere, interact with members, and address their needs and concerns promptly and Track clients’ physical progress, modify exercise plans based on needs, potential injuries or health issues
- **Staff Management**: Support the Gym Supervisor and motivate a team of fitness professionals and support staff, ensuring they deliver exceptional service.
- **Equipment Maintenance**: Monitor the condition of gym equipment, perform regular checks, and coordinate maintenance as needed.
- **Safety and Compliance**: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and industry regulations.
- **Program Coordination**: Collaborate with Gym Supervisor to organize and promote fitness programs, classes, and events.
- **Membership Sales Support**: Support and Assist the Sales Manager in membership sales and retention efforts, providing information and support to potential and existing members.
- **Group Exercise**: Support the planning, developing, and administering all aspects of the group exercise and instructor training programs.
- **Nutrition**: Handle nutrition and health-related questions

**Qualifications**:

- Previous work experience as a Gym Instructor or similar role
- Ability to instruct and motivate people.
- Strong knowledge of fitness equipment and exercise techniques.
- Level 3 Personal Trainer
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of diverse exercises and how to adjust plans according to each client’s needs.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willing to work towards
- Ability to motivate and lead a team.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for health and wellness.
- RLSS Pool Lifeguard desirable but not essential

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£23,500.00 per year
