Health and Well-being Consultant (WELL AP) (Associate Director)

6-month contract, with opportunity to extend thereafter 

Remote, with some travel to meetings (primarily in London).

Job Description Summary


Joining the Ekkist Advisory team, your role will include leading clients through Certifications and advisory services relating to health and well-being, including WELL Building Standard Certification, ESG strategies, development frameworks, design guides, market research and project documentation, as well as pitching to clients and speaking at and attending industry events. Experience with WELL Certification is a mandatory requirement.

 

Ekkist Company Vision and Overview:

 

Ekkist is a consultancy firm specialising in design and certification consultancy services for health and well-being. We are passionate about creating healthy buildings using the latest scientific research, and are led by some of the UK’s most prominent health and well-being experts.


Ekkist are also well recognised for our thought leadership and expertise in this area. Presently, we act as subject matter experts for the UK Construction Leadership Council (CLC), sit on the WELL ‘Homes’ Advisory Panel for the International WELL Building Institute, have advised the UK government on public health initiatives and the BRE in the development of new construction standards, and written the latest RICS Guidance for Designing and Delivering Healthy Buildings.


We have been shortlisted for and won a number of awards and competitions, including being shortlisted by the RICS for ‘Outstanding Small Surveying firm’ in 2022, Consultancy of the Year in the National Building and Construction Awards in 2023 and in 2024 by the RICS for ‘Outstanding Contribution to Surveying by SME’.


Core Role Responsibilities:

 

·       To lead WELL Certification projects across a range of sectors and project types

·       Support with pitching for and winning new business 

·       To work on company collaborations and thought leadership initiatives 

·       To occasionally write content for the Ekkist website, newsletters and social media 

 

Skills and Qualifications:


·       WELL AP with experience of taking projects from start to finish of certification independently

·       Active interest in the built environment and/or health and well-being

·       Proficiency in all Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook

·       Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

·       Clear, professional and engaging writing and communication style 

·       Excellent interpersonal skills


Salary and benefits


·       Circa £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus £3,000 car allowance

·       25 days annual leave + 2 week Christmas office closure 

·       4.5 day working week (office closure 12:30pm on Fridays)

·       2 charity days volunteering per annum
