Consultant Psychiatrist in Community Mental Health

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at the Bristol Acute Inpatient Service. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health care to patients on our male ward.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead daily ward reviews, Monday to Friday, to ensure the mental health care needs of inpatients are met.
- Supervise the medical team, providing visible and clear leadership at ward level.
- Act as Responsible Clinician for detained inpatients, with a medical legal role.
- Work closely with Intensive teams to provide dedicated lead Consultant input to acute care service coordination.
- Participate in S12 office-hours rota to cover Place of Safety.
- Contribute to the development of acute care services, aligning with best practice and nationally accredited standards.
- Identify service users who require access to inpatient services and potential discharges from the inpatient ward.
- Support the Medical Lead and participate in strategic development within the local service and the wider Trust.
