- Hourly Rate: £12 - £14 per hour
I am looking for a dedicated Payroll Assistant to support the Group Payroll Manager of a well established company, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all payrolls within the group. This role is integral to maintaining the professionalism and quality of their payroll services.
Day to Day of the role:- Process weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Supervise the Payroll Assistant in processing weekly payrolls.
- Handle payroll-related queries with professionalism.
- Prepare expenses reports, including VAT breakdowns.
- Ensure statutory returns are submitted on time.
- Prepare costing information for corporate allocations and provide payroll/costing reports.
- Maintain payroll, personnel records, and documentation.
- Notify HMRC and pension providers of new starters/leavers.
- Process BACS payments and compile data for P11ds.
- Support other areas of the Finance Department as required.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, SHEQ procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, photocopying, compiling correspondence, and other duties as reasonably required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic accounting knowledge.
- Understanding of PAYE and payroll processes.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and quality in all activities.
- Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
