Here at Hays, we are recruiting for a National Marketing & Sales Manager for a leading manufacturer based in Wakefield, this is an exciting opportunity where you will be joining a national company through a period of change and vast growth. This role is to assist the company in maintaining and growing the Company and the Group at the best possible price and ensuring a high-quality service and equipment. This role is paying up to £65,000 along with a company car for national travel when required with the head office being based in NormantonFor this role we are looking for someone who is customer focused, with a background in marketing and sales. The role will involve identifying target audiences, establish positioning and developing marketing strategies with specific objectives across different channels and segments. You will be managing the sales team, which will involve training and hiring. Key Responsibilities for this role

  • Preparing sales forecasts, establishing sales goals, and communicating these to the marketing and sales teams.
  • Grow and maintain existing accounts, as well as identifying and contacting potential new accounts developing new business opportunities.
  • Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers promoting the company and any others within the Group.
  • Always negotiate the best possible price for rental fleet, fuel, transport, and other services.
  • Be aware of re-hire equipment responsibility working with Hire Desk/Service Staff and ensure correct mark up as agreed is applied to all contracts.
  • Always maximise profitability for the company.

Skills for this role

  • Strong communication skills, as you will be required to liaise effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Be available to travel to meet customers/colleagues when required.
  • Team management experience would be desirable.
  • Marketing qualification
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Competent with IT and computer packages (MS Word & Excel)
  • At least 3 years of experience in a sales & marketing role.
  • Customer focused.
