Description

  • Managing a Transport operation with roughly 450 assets and a sizeable workforce.
  • Lead planning and operations across a large national retail operation
  • Take responsibility for operational best practice including compliance, health and safety and driver performance
  • Responsible for an annual budget of roughly £45m per year.
  • Manage customer commercial relations for an Open Book large national contract
  • Driving best practice and supporting the development of a CI culture
  • To help develop future leaders within the business

Profile

The successful Transport General Manager should have:

  • A logistics and distribution background
  • A National or International CPC qualification
  • Demonstrable experience of managing 3pl operations preferably in open book and/or retail environment
