We are looking for an experienced Digital Director for a minimum 12 month fixed term contract to manage the growth of our digital subscription business for maternity leave cover. You will be responsible for driving the digital strategy, implementation and delivery of all of TSOL’s digital products and services, as well as continuing to drive growth of, and engagement with, our digital content subscription.  


  • Provide strong and visionary leadership for TSOL’s overall digital strategy, advising on new technologies and best practices to deliver a best in class digital offering
  • Define and deliver the product development roadmap
  • Manage and drive the growth of our digital subscriptions business, continuously evolving growth and retention strategies to provide a compelling and competitive value proposition
  • Work alongside the Head of Customer Marketing to create acquisition strategies for the TSOL digital subscription, sharing data and insights to inform future campaigns
  • Joint ownership of the digital subscriptions P&L alongside the Head of Customer Marketing, leading on budget and forecast processes 
  • Manage the departmental cost base, being proactive to find and implement any cost efficiencies to maximise net profitability of the business unit and proactively keeping the Finance Director aware of any changes to forecast costs.
  • As a member of the executive team, work closely with other departmental directors and the Managing Director on cross-functional and company-wide initiatives and challenges.
  • Report on business performance, KPIs and metrics to the board as well as the wider business.
  • Manage our Growth and Product team consisting of Product Manager, Growth Manager and Web & UX Manager, ensuring that they are set up for success and are working towards clearly defined, realistic and measurable development goals. 
  • Manage TSOL’s tech stack and contracts with key 3rd parties like our web and app development agency.


Candidate Profile


Experience:


  • At least 10 years of experience in a technical and commercial role at either a start up or fast-growing consumer facing business
  • Experience in developing and successfully executing digital strategies and roadmaps
  • Highly proficient in analysing and cleaning data using tools such as Excel, Google Sheets and Looker Studio to inform strategic decisions
  • Demonstrable experience managing a departmental or business P&L
  • Experience managing and empowering a team of 3+ people to thrive in their careers
  • Proven track record in driving growth and managing B2C digital products and services
  • Experience with digital content subscription models and strategies
