MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT PRACTITIONER - ESSENTIAL CAR USER POST Location:Liverpool Salary:£24,570 per annum, plus £50 per sleep Contract:Full-time, Permanent Hours:8am – 8am, 3-day rolling rota (1 on, 2 off) New Start has an exciting opportunity for aMental Health Support Practitionerto join ourAdults Services Teambased in Liverpool. About Us New Start is a family-run, not-for-profit organisation providing residential and supported accommodation services for vulnerable adults, families, and young people. We are dedicated to helping people build brighter futures through person-centred support and community engagement. The Role As aMental Health Support Practitioner , you will provide both practical and emotional support to individuals with mental health needs, helping them work towards greater independence and improved wellbeing. Your role will involve supporting residents within our services, as well as visiting vulnerable adults in their own homes to deliver outreach support. You will help individuals maintain their independence, develop life skills, and manage their tenancy and daily living responsibilities effectively. You will implement and facilitate activities that promote personal development across areas such as education, social inclusion, emotional resilience, physical health, and positive mental wellbeing. Supporting individuals to manage medication, sustain engagement, and develop independence will be key parts of your day-to-day work. You will also assist with the safe management of buildings, respond appropriately to incidents, and ensure all reporting and recording requirements are met in line with organisational policies.
