Job Title: Senior Product Line Manager Department: Product Management & R&D EMEAReports to: Product Director B2B UK HQ: South East: Hybrid workingMust be located to work in the SE of England and fully eligible to work without the need for sponsorship. Main Role: • The Senior Product Line Manager develops and drives the strategy for the assigned product line to ensure we have a competitive, innovative and fast-growing product portfolio to satisfy the needs of our International lighting business, delivering required levels of growth, revenue and profitability. The responsibility covers all markets within the EMEA region.Key Responsibilities: • Primary role: Through market research, analysis, meeting with customers, suppliers and sales develop adeep understanding of market trends, regulatory standards, changes and impacts in key markets and understand competitor strategies with regard to the Logistic and Industry Lighting segment • Create the product line strategy & product line roadmap to deliver ongoing competitiveness and profitable growth, in line with relevant brand guidelines and segment plans • Identify, specify and justify new and improved product opportunities, utilising the NPD Gate Review Process • Drive the NPD process to ensure timely and successful product launches, working closely with R&D, Sourcing, Manufacturing, etc in line with agreed quarterly launch briefings• Work with the Segment Marketing Managers to develop and implement the ‘go-to-market’ strategy for new product launches, coordinating with relevant functions, e.g. Marcomm, R&D, Operations, Planning, etc,• Ensure that all published product line data (literature, data sheets, website, etc) is accurate and compliant• Ensure that sales personnel are well-trained in new and improved products, and are equipped to sell effectively• Monitor the sales and margin levels for the portfolio quarterly, identifying and recommending corrective action where necessary. • Work closely with Segment Marketing, Country and End User Sales/Marketing teams to maximise sales and profit performance of both new and current products• Working closely with Marketing and Country and End User Sales/Marketing teams to implement measures to maximise margin, in line with market conditions and company expectations, through the price hold system• Work closely with Sourcing, R&D and Operations to identify and implement product cost reduction opportunities to maximise sales and PBT performance• Manage the product life cycle (phase in / phase out) to avoid excess and obsolete stock, working closely with the Planning Team, taking into account the output from the S&OP process, ensuring that relevant system product data is effectively managed. Person Specification: Product Line Manager • English mandatory; multilingual an advantage • Degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering related subjects • Previous Product Management experience, ideally in an international position within a technical products industry. • Experience in a formal New Product Development / Introduction process. • Good leadership, creativity, communication and strategic analysis skills, coupled with a strong eye for detail and a willingness to make things happen. • Experience in operating and building effective relationships in a cross-functional work environment, • Good numeracy and presentation skills. • Willingness to travel in EMEA and AsiaOrganisational Values: • Progressive • Agile • Trusted • Simple • Approachable Base salary plus bonus and other company benefits on offer.
