Working with us will entail both formal and on the job learning from sector experts which will help you to develop the skills needed to become an effective advisor.This is a rare opportunity for an experienced candidate to join the market leading Bristol M&A team to work across a range of sectors.Key highlights of the Bristol M&A team include:Successfully completed multiple transactions over the past 12 months including several PE deals and a cross-border trade transactionCommitment to the Diversity and Inclusiveness agenda fostering a culture of belonging and pursuing a range of initiatives which attract and retain a wide pool of talent to our businessWinner of South-West Dealmakers Corporate Finance Team of the Year 2025 awardAdvising on a number of high-profile deals in the past 12-months including:Sale of Deeset to US based Acosta;sale of Fargo Systems to August Equity;sale of Chipside to Synova PE backed Unity 5; andsale of Reflow to Kester CapitalYour key responsibilitiesSupport in the preparation of transaction marketing materials and other client deliverables;Valuation analysis and calculation using market practice methodology including undertaking sensitivity/scenario analysis; analysis of financial dataDeal management and management of key stakeholders on projects including other advisorsCommercial and financial advice on key contracts forming part of the transaction and negotiation with project stakeholdersSupport in the development and maintenance of client relationships including pitch/proposal preparation presentation to clients origination and marketing initiatives and account pursuitTo qualify for the role you must haveRelevant experience in Professional ServicesHigh degree of personal drive and motivation to enhance your own knowledge and succeedExcellent communication skills both verbal and written; highly competent in Microsoft OfficeStrong quantitative and analytical skills (financial modelling capability is also favoured)Ability to build effective working relationships with individuals organisations and clients whilst working under pressure across multiple projects and to tight deadlinesEducated to degree levelIdeally youll also havePrior experience of working in and/or a passion for M&A/Transactions practice which may also include specific sectors within transactionsCommitted to business development and able to identify opportunities to deliver the best value.Advanced professional financial qualification (e.g. ACA CFA MBA.)What we offer you We will fuel your ambition and potential with future-focused skills development that equips you with state-of-the-art methodologies and technology-enabled solutions.
