Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Location: South West (minimum 3 days per week onsite)

Package: £130,000 – £170,000 + Executive Benefits

This appointment is positioned for a founder-minded leader — someone who thrives on creating momentum, shaping culture, scaling capability and embedding a track record of strategic wins across Defence, Government and adjacent enterprise sectors.

Strategic Leadership & Growth Ownership

  • Define and execute a bold multi-year growth plan to propel revenues beyond £35M, balancing disruptive innovation with commercial discipline.
  • Continuously scan the market to identify emerging opportunities, evolving customer pain points and service differentiation angles.
  • Make data-driven investment decisions that fuel innovation, scale delivery models and strengthen competitive advantage.
  • Identify and secure new revenue channels, commercial alliances and M&A routes to accelerate market expansion.
  • Build a commercially high-performing operating model — with robust financial governance, scalable infrastructure and delivery excellence at its core.

Market Authority & Client Influence

  • Act as the strategic face of the business within Defence, Central Government and high-trust sectors, whilst opening new adjacent markets.
  • Leverage senior-level relationships to unlock large-scale contracts, strategic partnerships and long-term advisory engagements.
  • Lead senior commercial negotiations, bid strategy and solution positioning for high-value, complex programmes.

Operational & Cultural Transformation

  • Establish world-class governance, process maturity and systems that enable scale at pace without compromising quality or agility.
  • Build a culture defined by innovation, accountability and strategic precision — empowering teams to challenge thinking and drive future-ready solutions.
  • Create an environment that attracts elite talent and fosters high ownership, trust and performance across all business levels.

The Ideal CEO Profile:

  • Proven success scaling a consultancy, digital transformation or services organisation through a major growth phase (e.g. £15M to £35M+).
  • Deep commercial intelligence — able to increase top-line performance while sharpening operational margin and delivery efficiency.
  • Exceptional at navigating complexity: visionary in strategic foresight yet grounded in operational execution.
  • A highly credible presence — able to influence at Board, C-suite and strategic partner level with impact and authority.
  • Entrepreneurial in DNA — ambitious, resilient and energised by building something significant with legacy value.

Desirable Advantage: Experience within UK Defence, Government or regulated industries, with a senior network and working knowledge of how to win, operate and influence within these environments.
