Head of Residential Development


ESPUG’s Head of Residential Development, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer will lead our nationwide residential team.


This role is responsible for spearheading business development efforts to onboard new clients. The successful candidate will ensure seamless integration between maintaining strong client relationships and expanding our residential market presence.


Key Responsibilities

Drive New Business Development:

  • Lead efforts to identify, pursue, and secure new residential clients, expanding ESPUG’s presence in the residential market.
  • Develop and execute targeted business development strategies, including market analysis, prospect engagement, and deal negotiation.


Develop and Implement Market Strategies:

  • Craft and execute a comprehensive market development plan focused on both the development of existing clients and acquisition of new business.
  • Align marketing campaigns with business development goals and market expansion efforts.


Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the residential team, fostering a high-performance culture with a focus on growth, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and drive professional development within the team.


Collaborate Across Departments:

  • Work closely with other departments, including Pricing, Delivery, Operations, Marketing, and Finance, to ensure alignment of residential market strategies and overall company objectives.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the residential market team and senior leadership to ensure business objectives are met.


Monitor Market Trends and Competitor Activity:

  • Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership on market developments, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives.


Financial Management:

  • Oversee the budgeting and financial performance of the residential market development team, ensuring targets are met while optimizing resources and investments.
  • Ensure reliable forecasting and insightful reporting on sales pipelines, growth, and market opportunities.


Client Onboarding and Experience:

  • Ensure a seamless and efficient onboarding process for new residential clients, in coordination with the delivery and operations teams.
  • Be the voice of the customer to continuously improve the client experience through feedback loops and service enhancements.


Role Experience


Essential

  • Proven experience in a Commercial environment.
  • Extensive experience of running a team of salespeople in the same or a similar industry.
  • Track record of hitting targets and developing people.


Desirable

  • Prior experience in asset adoption and ownership setting.
  • Prior experience of building and executing a comprehensive business development strategy including marketing.
