Job Title - Area/Business Development Manager - Chemical Paper/Water TreatmentLocation - Remote in the North of England, Midlands, Southern Scotland, or North WalesSalary - £65,000 - £80,000 + 20% bonus + car / allowanceIndustry - Chemical Paper/Water TreatmentRoleIdentify and develop new business in the UK water treatment space for industrial sectors. This will include Food and Beverage, Paper Manufacturing, Power, Steel and chemical manufacturingManage an existing portfolio of clients to maintain and grow their business spendWork with the UK sales team to grow and develop top line sales with a healthy Profit MarginWork independently to develop brand new business from scratch, and forge relationships with all stakeholders to form business partnershipsLearn and present their unique technologies to advise on shared value opportunities and secure contract businessDeliver and assist with technical presentations for their technologies, in specific sectorsWork alongside the marketing and technical team to present value opportunities across different business sectorsAttend customer and prospect sites to deliver business proposals and technical support, along with product trials and sales meetingsWork with other their European entities to develop Global business and opportunitiesWork closely with customer support to ensure contracts are run efficiently and profitablyStrategize new business incentives and business development plans to achieve growthGrow technical knowledge of products and ServicesRequirementsMust have experience managing a £500K+ territory in chemical water treatment (boiler and cooling tower treatment) or in paper chemistry (starches, dyes, biocides, wet strength, dry strength, defoamers etc.)Preferably located North of England or MidlandsGood knowledge & experience in cooperation with customers and operators of water treatment is a mustChemical or process background and education (Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or process engineering preferred)Commercial skillsGood organization skills, strong detail & team orientationStrong communication skillsStrong sales & service mindsetOpen mindedness, flexibility, creativity, willingness to learn & ability to take initiativeWillingness to travel throughout the assigned territory
