Role Overview Family Support Workers play a vital role in supporting parents to meet the physical and emotional needs of their children. Working 12.5-hour shifts across both days and nights, you will observe parent-child interactions and provide sensitive, non-judgemental feedback tailored to each family's unique circumstances. Through encouragement and role modelling, you will help empower parents to build stronger, healthier relationships with their children. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate, objective records to inform parenting assessments, which may be submitted as evidence to Family Court. Apply a trauma-informed approach using the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) in daily practice. Build positive, trusting relationships with families to support meaningful engagement. Signpost families to additional support services related to mental health, substance misuse, and domestic abuse. What We're Looking For Passionate individuals with experience working with children and families. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build rapport. NVQ Level 3 qualification (or willingness to work towards it). Applicants from diverse professional backgrounds are welcome - transferable skills are highly valued. Full UK driving licence required.
