Role Overview:

The Senior Manager is responsible for the successful execution of client engagements and maintaining strong relationships with senior client personnel. This includes developing new business opportunities, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and driving client satisfaction. The role requires a deep understanding of clients' businesses, strong technical competence in the relevant industry, and leadership in managing teams and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client engagements, ensuring compliance with company standards in project planning, execution, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior client personnel.
  • Lead the preparation of proposals and bid materials for new and existing clients.
  • Deliver expert solutions in technical areas such as operational resilience, risk management, and compliance.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through white papers and marketing materials.
  • Assist in developing engagement methodologies, including regulatory requirements (e.g., FCA, PRA).
  • Represent the company at conferences and promote the company’s values.
  • Identify and develop new client opportunities and ensure the timely closure of projects.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members and participate in recruitment efforts.
  • Maintain and share knowledge gained through training and industry forums.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in delivering regulatory projects (e.g., operational resilience, third-party risk management, risk and controls transformation).
  • Leadership in client engagement execution and senior client relationship management.
  • Strong business development skills with the ability to foster and maintain client relationships.
  • Expertise in operational resilience frameworks, regulatory impact assessments, and project risk management.
  • Strong track record in employee development, including mentoring and training.
  • Experience within advisory consulting, with a specialization in Risk and Compliance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including writing and delivering findings and recommendations.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience developing solution offerings or sales channels.
  • Supported the creation of digital tools to enhance operational resilience.
  • Experience delivering internal audit engagements.

Education & Credentials:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience, ideally in consulting, professional services, or Financial Services.
  • Bachelor’s degree (2:1 desirable) and/or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment).
  • Relevant IT/Resilience qualifications are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Work Environment:

We offer a hybrid working model with travel across the UK and occasionally abroad, based on client needs. We are supportive of flexible working arrangements.
