We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team, preparing a broad variety of component parts and assembling them into finished ‘system elements’. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for mechanics and a keen eye for detail, ensuring all parts and products meet our high-quality standards.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Prepare component parts to required quality standards before assembling into ‘system elements’.
  • Handle components and assemblies safely and in accordance with health and safety requirements.
  • Interpret component and assembly drawings, and follow written or verbal instructions.
  • Identify and report any substandard quality issues through established procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and maintain a clean and organised workspace.
  • Adhere to work instructions, risk assessments, and health and safety regulations.
  • Travel occasionally to support installation work at customer sites, representing the company professionally.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable ability to read and interpret technical drawings for component parts and assemblies.
  • More than 2 years of assembly experience with high-value, low-volume component parts in a precision engineering environment.
  • Apprenticeship or equivalent background in a relevant field.
  • Proficiency with hand, power, and precision engineering tools.
  • Excellent hand/eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
